New SDC Improvements
SDC Main Menu: We have reduced the menu slightly, combining the Chatroom & Live together, and added a new category called SDC, where you can find Media / Shop / Benefits. Also, Member Services have been moved under Clubs & Businesses. Settings Menu: Now opens on the right side for those using our desktop version. Friends / Followers & Help, along with our Partner Program, can now be found under Settings. We separated the former Contacts page into new pages, also found under Settings. You can now see your Likes / Dislikes, Blocklist, Notes, and Remembered at a glance. App/PC User Icon: On-grid views and profile views show if a member is using the app or desktop/browser version of SDC. Groups: Our new layout separates My Groups from All Groups, making it easier to find the groups you belong to. Paid members can now change their profile name without the need to reach out to Helpdesk. See Settings –> Account –> 'Change Profile Name’ button. Lifetime members have the ability to set suspected fake trial accounts to inactive. Web Filter / Options Menus update: We have updated the look of some option menus to reduce the length of the menu itself and to avoid scrolling, making the OK button visible straight away.

Profile Text is as Important as Profile Photos Whether you find a profile picture attractive is, of course, very personal. Appearance plays a major role, but for most people, the 'feeling' that photos evoke seems to be more important. That can be a characteristic face or a warm appearance. And then, the figure doesn't even have to be perfect. However, profile photos are often assessed in combination with the text that is included. Sometimes the text is even more important than the photos. "If the text triggers me, I will view all the photos," someone says on the site. Who are you? It is appreciated if you clearly state who you are, what you are looking for, and what you are about. Write more than three sentences to give others a good — and accurate — impression. Be careful with the preferences that you specify: know what you want and also what you do not want. What does your perfect evening look like, for example? Tips for Text The message: What someone writes appears to be more important than how someone writes. A spelling mistake is, therefore, generally not a problem. Humor is important, but don't overdo it. Flat humor in a profile is seen as superficial or silly. Creative text and an occasional funny pun are, on the other hand, greatly appreciated. Also difficult to read are profile texts without punctuation marks. It then becomes one large, confusing mess that people quickly drop out of. A let-down is a list of what you do not allow, want, or appreciate. It is better to emphasize what you are looking for. Just like with photos, make sure your text is up to date. You can have different insights, look for other things, or just want something that you did not like before. Others must know that. Describing yourself as 'attractive' is considered very subjective by most people. And that is, of course, true. What one finds attractive can be the opposite for the other. A more neutral description seems to work better. Critically read your text a few days later. See if it says what you mean. And that the photos match what you want to radiate.
